OUR STORY
Family-owned and operated since opening its doors in 1931, The Oar House is well-known throughout Benton County and the Lake of the Ozarks. Start your annual fishing season with us for spring spoonbill snagging in March and transition to crappie, walleye, catfish and bass throughout the summer months. Providing prime access to more than 1,300 miles of shoreline, the fishing here is nothing less than great any time of the year.
We offer lodging accommodations to suit any size group, from motel rooms adjacent to the restaurant or a private cabin which sleeps up to 12. The campground has full RV service, or you can sleep in your cabin cruiser moored in one of the marina’s slips.
Our restaurant and bar is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat or your favorite drink! While you are here, be sure to check out all of the oars throughout the restaurant that have embellished the walls and ceilings of the Oar House for several decades. Over the years, many patrons have gifted us oars with messages and names to commemorate their visits. These oars serve as a visual history of memories made. Preserving the legacy of The Oar House ensures that these traditions can carry on for decades to come.
Come be a part of the history of The Oar House!
